I have no direct experience with them but you should be able to find a bit of stuff in the 'Amateur Yacht Research Society' (AYRS) archives. I think the K-wing was a bit ahead of its time - kayak/canoe sailing has become so much more popular since then and foils are now more mainstream too.

Yes, these are shunters. Paring down setup time could be a challenge but I'm sure it could be done. I very much like your sailing outrigger btw. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

It is an interesting idea. I guess that a tiny version might work quite well - you could plant your feet on top of the vaka and use the scaled down platform as a seat. The shelter might even work as some kind of pram hood-type arrangement for protection from wind and spray?
