I can't imagine being in an army having signed up to fight foreign enemies and being ordered to kill fellow citizens. And how many does it take before you think "its not a domestic threat, its just my people"

I think he knew but he forgot.

I like it

I gotta be honest. I don't get it. Why is the sphinx crying. Who's hands are those. Why do they think the sphinx will help.

Maybe its just me. I've been told I'm bad at symbolism.

Relying on coal worked great for England. All the towns built around coal mines are doing just fine since their mines ran dry in the 70s and 80s.

Isn't the UN already the board of peace. What other purpose does it serve.

Experiments are supposed to happen in controlled environment and must be ethical.
This is neither.

Not that I would actually test anyone like that.

I don't know what it's supposed to test for but if you walked faster than me that would be a pass in my book.

The tech facist one or the starfleet academy one?

How do you know this is only antisemites? The text just said gentiles. I read a few paragraphs into the commentary and it doesn't clarify that. I'm not saying you're wrong, just how do you know?

A place to discuss ideas? Thats such a low bar for a country. You can do that in a dining room.

... that it was simply the fact that they were jewish.
Nobody said the gospels were poppycock, just that there is inherent bias in it. Simply consider that when reading some of the stories. That doesn't invalidate any of the positive messages that are in it.

I feel the sarcasm but I want to reply anyway just for clarity.
Feigning ignorance is a reasonable interview strategy and if you disagree you can explain why.
Nobody said Jesus was a self hating jew. There's not enough information in that story to know what he was made about but its unlikely...

I don't really get the comparison she's making. She's comparing know the contents of a rather large book, to knowing of the existence and general purpose of other books. There is a huge difference between those 2 things.

Wasn't even a gift shop. All they did was exchange idolatry money for non idolatry money.
January 15, 2026 at 5:22 PM
It wasn't an opinion piece, it was an interview. If your interview subject shows up and you saw "I've done my research, i know what youre going to say. You can go now." You did nothing for your audience. You're supposed to get your subject to talk, not show off how much you know.

I went to a church event where they claimed to have the ark of the covenant. I just wanted to see what they would bring out. It was a pretty convincing replica. I think they copied the design from Raiders. I got calls from them for a few years after.

Oh the environment. The place we all live. Thats not important.

I think i saw the Davies one a while ago and I have little memory of it. So not a good sign. The Collins one I haven't seen and it only has 5.5/10 on imdb.

Did you know aside from the Joan Collins movie, there is an Esther movie with John Rhys Davis as Mordechai.

You got me there.
