+1 also curious

This prompted me to look at satellite aerials of Jersey City, and surprised that even with all the towers going up there are still a huge handful of massive full block parking lots…not for long, but still surprising

Not a hot take if this is the only correct answer.

At the *very* least, put these where they use the brown historic district street signs or something

Am I crazy or were there press photos of the R211 displays showing the trains progress on its way to the next station in addition to all the upcoming stops? If I’m not making this up, I assume they’d need all the CBTC wires in place on a line to show that info?

If the corner piece extended all the way to the top, I feel like that would help a lot with this design

Love to see this sort of density in my hometown, but wholeheartedly agree about the architecture. I feel like people in the suburbs would be a lot more open to more housing if the buildings actually looked beautiful and coherent. I feel like Cranford has more success w this in their new developments

I found the bus to be fine, but why on earth is it cash only?? Had to ask people while waiting if they had any spare cash that I could Venmo them for. Was not a great experience

Now let’s remove another one of the 20 lanes on 10th Ave and have a line of trees and bushes spanning the whole avenue

Is it public which company/ies makes these mosaics for the MTA?

Really hoping this gets a letter and isn’t just called the IBX once it starts running. X train with the pink color would be fantastic

Was just about to ask the same thing

So awesome! I need your luck

Do you just stumble upon these things, because you always find the coolest train oddities. I’ve been keeping an eye out for them all

I might be misremembering, but didn’t they start banning early biking on the path before the marathon started? Thought this was a thing as soon as last year
November 1, 2025 at 11:56 PM
So those pre-COVID are the all time highest daily ridership the MTA has seen in its running history? Or is it just factoring a few months/years before March 2020? If the latter, I’m curious what the highest daily ridership number is

Obsessed with this. Love the Halloween spirit

Personally thought the Liquid Glass version of the icon looked absolutely perfect. This version is fine but a bit of a regression

Not sure if it’s just because of the times that I’m in these areas, but always surprised by just how empty the roads are on Amsterdam/Columbus/Broadway when you’re in the UWS. So many lanes and there’s only like 5 cars total on a given block

Any recs on the best way to get there via public transit? Bus from port authority? Or metro north and walking over the bridge?

Your passion for whatever you’re playing is always so infectious regardless of what game you’re recording. For example, I’m not a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, but your enthusiasm/massive amounts of research for each episode is what keeps me invested and lining up at 5 PM EST to see the latest episode

Thankful for you bringing this newsletter to everyone’s attention a few months ago as it’s definitely something I look forward to at the beginning of each week. Interesting to actually get a glimpse of just how many projects are happening concurrently

They need to allow passengers disembarking to be able to exit first before allowing those embarking to move on the platform. That causes most of the problems with bottlenecking. For all it's problems, I like that when NJTransit announces the track in Penn Station, the platform is clear
