The first time I visited Japan, there was a sumo championship underway and it was broadcast 24/7 on the TV stations. I like sumo, so I watched it while we waited in the train station in Kyoto.

I spent the holiday studiously ignoring all the goings-on in my community, and believe me they were wall to wall. Now to get past New Year's Day and I'm good.
As for the lack of baseball 🥲, I used to have NHL to watch during winter months, but we lost our pro hockey team so I don't even have that 😢.

I've been re-watching Breaking Bad (my all-time fave TV series), and not only does it hold my attention but the criming seems rather mild compared with what happens in real life every day.

My local TV station is running ads for employment with ICE. They make it sound like an honorable job, but are skimpy with details and don't state that you'd be expected to kidnap, injure, or kill folks in the course of your "work."
Ya'd have to be pretty desperate to sign up, IMHO.

Here in AZ we're enjoying sunny weather and temps in the mid-70s. No rain in the forecast until late next week, and minimal at that. Winter here is the absolute best!

But I do google the unknown number, b/c increasingly these days people I might want to know called (doctor office, repairmen, etc) USE THEIR CELL PHONE TO CALL ME.
