The dems have it going on. Now, what will be interesting to see is what they will do to shoot themselves in the foot. I'm sure they will find something. It appears the voters will vote for a sane, middle of the road dem, unless the party is pushing more extreme left position, then voters get scared.

It's been pulled pork tacos (smoked pulled pork butt, scratch made chili gaujillo sauce, onions, cilantro, tomato, cheese), smoked baby back ribs, collard greens, and pinto beans all weekend. But "the kids" showed up yesterday for leftovers, and brought me some boudin from Don's Specialty Meats.

Time for me to go experience what I've been missing since retiring. I'm going to pick up a young couple and their child at IAH in Houston. At 5:00pm. What fun!. Navigating airport traffic in an 8000lb longbed 2500. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to put the baby seat in.

I noticed on facebook lately, it looks like the tide is turning. The most virulent cultist have fallen silent, and several are starting to express their second thoughts and disapproval of whats happening in the country.
The blind faith nutcases are still out there, but the ranks are thinning.

I can't find any actual scientific arguement tying Tylenol to autism. Personally I never take it (Tylenol) because it put me in the hospital with a fever and swollen liver when I was in the USAF. They kept giving me Tylenol for the fever. An old doctor took one look and said "NO TYLENOL". Fixed it.

Decided today I was making a huge batch of gumbo. My daughter (special needs, schizo) has never experienced me making it before. Of course she was excited to participate. I set her to shelling and de-veining 3.5 lbs of shrimp. That, and 2lbs of (real) crabmeat for it. She stayed at it to the end.

I make up the bed in the morning. It's an old habit left ingrained from the military. But often as not I come back in to find it in complete disarray because of this little lady's desired arrangements.

You know, I started to watch "The Handmaid's Tale" back when it was first released, but I couldn't continue, because it was too disturbing. But if we don't all just vote against the republicans, regardless of a candidate's rabid support of our positions, we will lose our country, to these nuts.

Hegseth has reposted the preacher who says women shouldn't have the right to vote. Of course Hegseth, who claims to be catholic (but really doesn't seem to be able to settle into any one religion (he apparently gravitates to whichever religion supports his ever changing personal "vision"), is nuts.

I guess I am hopelessly "old school". I keep reading about who pays on first date. And also about women wanting to pay in order to not feel obligated for any further involvement.
If I ask a woman out, it's ALWAYS been customary I pay for the date. No wonder it sucks to date anymore.

I woke to find an invasion of these tiny ants in my office/junkroom. They seemed quite possessive of a scarp paper I was taking notes on. So I placed a few drops of this ant bait I recently bought. firt four of them found it and sucked it up, then disappeared. They brought back some buds.

I love red and orange Skittles. I don't care for the other ones. Some people say they are all the same flavor, but that's bullshit.
