Methane regulation is the foundation of the UK’s net zero strategy. Without it, clean energy priorities like blue hydrogen & industrial decarbonisation cannot credibly move forward.

A new joint letter to Ed Miliband calls for strong, enforceable methane rules in the National Methane Action Plan.

Methane is a greenhouse gas that traps over 80 times more heat in our atmosphere than carbon dioxide over the first 20 years.

A signal from the financial sector: 42 investors representing €4.5 trillion call on the EU to fully implement the Methane Emissions Regulation. Their position is clear - don't delay or weaken the rules. Clear standards provide investment certainty.

Competitiveness must be central to the Union. Yet only 11% of Draghi’s proposals have been acted on and none of these are on energy. Industrial Accelerator Act, Single Market Roadmap, Grids, 28th Regime, Innovation Act - are welcome but the EU must turn promise into progress.
