I'm not sure, but batteries are only being built to store solar into the evening.
oil/gas generation doesn't need to be stored into the evening, those power plants don't switch off when the sun goes down..

no no no... the batteries are for solar.
the solar is installed already - the latest data isn't in the Ember graphic because Saudi is sooo slow at reporting the electricity data.
there's a genuine massive surge happening on the ground in Saudi.
their 2030 plan is huge - jury still out how much..
