Everything we do at Clean Water Services aims to protect public health, while enhancing the natural environment of the Tualatin River Watershed.
Millions of plants are needed to sustain 7,000 acres in the Tualatin River Watershed. 🌱 Friends of Trees volunteers harvested bare root trees, potted natives & made wetland seed balls for CWS projects. Check the event calendar for volunteer opportunities!

Back in 2016, our crew cleared a wipes clog bigger than a person at a Hillsboro pump station. Keep things flowing—trash wipes, don’t flush them. #ThrowbackThursday #Wipes

The final Leaf Disposal & Food Drive event is Saturday, December 6. Remember, we’re accepting more than just leaves and yard debris (either loose or in paper bags); we are also accepting non-perishable food items for local food banks.

You see (and smell) waste when you flush, but we see gold at the end of the resource-recovery rainbow. Clean water, nutrients, and energy all start with what you send our way. Thanks for the daily “contributions” that keep our communities safe. #AttitudeOfGratitude #ResourceRecovery

Only flush the 3 P’s: pee, poo & (toilet) paper.
Not every place in the world can even flush all three — we’re lucky.

This World Toilet Day (Nov 19), we’re grateful for the infrastructure that keeps our community safe. 🚽💙

Feed me, Seymour... native plants! 🪴🌊 This spooky season, don’t let your yard turn into a monstrous mess. Native plants crave less water, support pollinators, and help keep our streams and rivers clean. Let your garden grow the right way!

Barney Reservoir doesn’t just store water – it saves summer. The rain from this fall and winter will refill the reservoir and will be strategically released to help keep the Tualatin River flowing in the dry summer months.

It all floats down here...straight to your local creek. Storm drains don’t lead to treatment plants – they connect directly to our rivers. Whatever goes down the drain ends up in the water we all depend on.

🌧️ Only rain down the drain.

Every October 16, #ImagineaDayWithoutWater is a nationwide reminder of how vital our water systems are. Here at CWS, we work hard to clean wastewater, manage stormwater, and help the Tualatin River remain a healthy resource for farms, businesses, wildlife, recreation, and drinking water.

See the scariest fog of all! Fats, oils, and grease can wreak havoc on pipes. Prevent backups and clogs in your home and in the public system by throwing away grease in the trash.
