Both Political parties represent their donors - a small group of rich people who want the proles quietly & calmly controlled versus those who want them publicly & cruelly controlled- either way most of them believe we only exist for them to exploit in order to grow their wealth - until we revolt!

Maybe you’re right about military policies but a lot of poor kids see it as a way out. Bad people, deceived & wrong ppl even evil ppl get old, sick & need help sometimes. Compassion is not only for those you agree with. That logic that leads to ICE. Nurses are heroes whoever they care for.

If the very wealthy are concerned about crime - paying more tax, reducing wealth inequality & ensuring everyone has a home, food to eat & access to healthcare would be the most effective response. Creating a police state & Organising society to benefit a small subset of ppl and screw the rest isn’t

I hate this kinda shit. People make different choices it’s ok. I said to my family that I’m not a dragon so I don’t count my value in the size of the gold pile I sit on. I’m human so I count my value in the people I help & the love that I share. That shut them up for precisely half a family meal 😂

And if your child doesn’t want you at their wedding it’s maybe a good opportunity to reflect on your relationship and your own behaviour to consider why rather than immediately dismissing anything they have to say and jumping to blaming them for being the problem- like you usually do.

I remember in 1983 the vivid horror of that lesson where Mrs Whitaker used Dulce at Decorum Est & an English lesson to turn a group of kids into radical pacifists. Laid on the floor eyes closed as she talked us through Owen’s nightmare of trench warfare. One of the most important hours of my life.
