This was an excellent podcast on many levels but none of these brilliant commentators spoke to the issue of exec power when a Dem is in office and this SCOTUS will find their actions unconstitutional. We saw that w Biden EOs Vs Trump.

@durbin.senate.gov how can you let this happen? Judges are critical as either enablers of this administration or as bulwark to protect our democracy. How can these Dems (who we think of as warriors in our fight to preserve Dem) not show up and not question these people pointedly?

@nytimes.com Why is there no “front page” coverage on the mobile app of the massive number of protests yesterday and the massive number of people protesting. How are you, as a premier news org, (which I pay a lot of $ to subscribe to) being so negligent? Please explain!

Thank you Senator Cory Booker!
I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:

Super disappointed in Sen Durbin
Would like to know what the ratio of calls/emails from constituents were regarding CR vote. (Or course you can’t get thru on the phone; can’t even leave a voicemail)

If ANYBODY in govt or politics had read this book they would’ve known what to expect from Musk. It is all eerily similar from the random firings (and attempted re-hiring) to walking around with his kid….its exactly the same playboom
Hello! If you're new here, I write about Elon Musk, X, and recently, DOGE for the New York Times. I'm always interested in speaking to people who have worked with Musk, at X or in government, and I just verified my Signal on my NYT bio so you can contact me securely. www.nytimes.com/by/kate-conger

Totally agree. This is well said and captures my perspective as well.
While trying to articulate my views on Trump voters whom other progressives assure me are “good people” I came across this excellent op-ed from @jessicawolfendale.bsky.social

Ultimately whatever reason these people have for their votes they are complicit in his doing what he told us he would do.
Are Trump voters morally responsible for the harms that will follow from his policies? - ABC Religion & Ethics
Many of those who voted for Donald Trump likely didn’t think deeply about his views on immigration, women’s rights or trans people. Does that absolve them of responsibility for the harms his policies ...

Is @indivisibleguide.bsky.social or @moveon.org planning to ensure that voters in states w Repub sen up for election in ‘26 are reminded frequently how their senators vote in upcoming confirmation hearings. (Or call out if they abdicate that responsibility)
