Every year I had a diagnostic mammogram and in May 2017 was again declared ALL CLEAR!
That changed in July 2017.

After the lumpectomy, I went on a radiation schedule followed by the meds tamoxifen, then letrozole—five years-ish, all told.

For this same reason, my family and I have decided to refer to my newly assigned position as a #PalliativeCare patient to a #ComfortCare patient since "palliation" really means comfort. This word choice gives me/us more control.

Yes, I live with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, but I choose instead to call it an #AlienInvader. In my mind, it receives less power from me, and I have more control.
