I can enter the UK in my Australian passport. From the 26th I need to use a British passport. An arbitrary rule has been created. For no benefit at all.

I have a 3 pack at the gp, have a routine blood test every 3 mths and get a top up. Dont want to repeat the tingling and general cognitive issues I was having.

I also cannot absorb B12, with colitis being my reason. Last time I let it get bad, it was full on tingling. Doctor looked at me, rolled her eyes and had me go to chemist and come back with the 3 pack. We did 1 a week for 6 weeks and then a 7th. Was buzzing!

Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with your critique of Apple and X, The Verge failed to see their own hypocrisy of staying on that platform and made the same case that Apple or Google would make for their reason to stay.

How can it be that close?
I do wonder if some people will just renounce their UK citizenship. Since Brexit, it offers little and my life is here. I never intend to settle there, but as I age, who knows?

Thanks and I hope I wasn’t being argumentative for no reason. Not my intent. I just think the UK thing is dumb. And people’s responses are generally just terrible. Like, if I’d not read this, I would not have know.

The last few times I want to the UK, I just used my Australian passport. I just don’t see what the UK is achieving by refusing a dual national to use their Australian passport to apply for the advanced entrance permission (or whatever it’s called).

I’m sure you could probably get in with your UK passport. But then his UK passport would be seen as being here over the 90 days. OK until you next try to leave or enter and border force alerts kick off.

If he doesn’t renew his Australian he simply won’t be allowed back into Australia. If he turns up on his British passport, they’ll count him as an overstayer, even though he’s a citizen. I believe you can renounce your British citizenship if it’s that much of a problem.

Visa entry form which as a dual national, you cannot apply for. So before, you turned up with your Australian passport, no one cared. But now you need to use your British passport as a dual national because the form won’t allow you to apply otherwise

An Australian passport is expensive, that’s for sure. But it’s about $40/yr if you think of it that way. My last 2 trips to the UK were done on my Aus passport. I now realise that as a dual national, that was technically not allowed. What’s changed is that the UK now require an advanced….

And then I watch a UK ARV and crew go to extreme lengths to NOT shoot someone, make it very clear that they WILL shoot them unless they comply, but very much a last resort. Police in the US just seem scared of everything.

I have no words. I just don't get America and increasingly, Americans. How can this not be a trigger or a wake up call? But then, I watch Youtube videos and it's routine for police to shoot people as they run away and 4 or 5 offices unload their guns into cars and people.
