People in other groups said the drive took 8-9 hours. We made it in 7 hours and 5 minutes. Tells you about the speed we were going.

Had to do a 7+ hour drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap, Nepal, using an alternate, non-standard route. Last 4 hours in dark. Mudslides. Steep cliffs. Fog. 8 zillion blind curves. 8,000' vertical. Horrible potholes above 7,000'. Crazy drivers. 0/10. Do not recommend.

Had to do a long drive around washed out roads. It had it's own significant challenges. But we're OK.
