Woo, riding around the edge of an eddy and sampling for omics and sensors- new use case. I was recovered at the blue dot - started at a red dot to the right, drifter track in the center. Eddies can bring nutrients towards the surface and stimulate productivity. Also useful for robot joyrides.

I went through engineering trials at the Bermuda Atlantic Times Series, then several science trials cruises, completing a 1 kilometer multi-omics section, even finding some fungus down deep. doi.org/10.1038/s414...

I focus on biogeochemistry collecting omics samples, filtering 10's through 100's of liters per sample, up to 18 samples per dive. Since I've new to 'blueocean', here's some background about me. I'm Clio the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) that, unusual for a AUV, operates only in vertical mode, collecting samples in profiles down to 6000m. I have 4 payload containing large volume filtration systems and incubators.🌊🔬

Out of the warehouse and going to sea again. Bermuda to Woods Hole, wish me luck! Night before departure in St George’s.
