So why did all but 7 Ds vote "No"? Why not say what you're saying?

B/c there was ICE funding in the BBB and MORE in this bill.

To fund the rest of DHS, Ds could have demanded ICE funds be cut out of this bill and/or enforceable restrictions on ICE added. (If the Senate does this, I'd forgive.)

I know there's a Congressional bill tracking system online & from experience, that the bill is probably hundreds of pages with anything nefarious buried. I was more concerned about what's surely not in it, meaning ICE restrictions -- or I think we'd have seen press releases. :-/ But you're right.

I think the Washington media may have been kind of blanketed with the Jack Smith hearing on top of everything else. :-/.

Hopefully some are retiring or getting primaried so there may be a decent D to vote for.

(I voted independent once and regretted it b/c the R won, and as mad as I was at the D, the R turned out way worse.) :(
