The image is a flowchart titled "Potential Offence Test", with a black circular symbol in the top-right corner. It outlines a series of questions and pathways used to assess actions related to a potential bus lane offence. At the centre is a box labelled "Main Criteria Test", listing questions concerning the operation and use of a bus lane. Arrows lead from each question along “Yes” or “No” routes, guiding the user to outcomes such as “Take no action” or “Proceed to the Minor Infringement Test.” On the left-hand side, “Yes” and “No” boxes alternate, directing users through different branches. The flowchart is vertically arranged, with a structured, logical layout. The image is a flowchart titled "Minor Infringement Test for Bus Lanes", providing a decision-making guide for when a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) may be appropriate. It begins with a question box asking “Is the contravention minor?” followed by a decision box: “Did the vehicle travel less than 20 metres in the bus lane?” with “Yes” or “No” options. A “No” answer leads to further checks, such as whether the vehicle was “simply straddling the bus lane”, or if it was forced into the lane due to other circumstances. The outcome may be either “Issue PCN” or “Consider cancelling EP.” “Yes” and “No” answers are highlighted in red and bold. A small note at the bottom defines what is considered a minor contravention. This image shows a flowchart titled "Guidelines on Straddling", which outlines procedures for handling vehicles observed within bus lanes. A circular emblem appears in the top-right corner. The flow begins with the question “Is the vehicle fully in the bus lane?” leading to different paths based on “Yes” or “No” responses. If “Yes,” the instruction is to “Log the incident as normal.” If “No,” the next step asks “Is more than half the vehicle in the bus lane?” A “Yes” response leads to assessing whether the vehicle travelled more than 20 metres. Depending on the answers, outcomes include “Record incident with detailed comments” or “Consider if vehicle was obstructed.” The decision boxes are linked by arrows, and actions such as “Ignore the incident” appear in red. Additional notes at the bottom highlight the need to review and provide comments before issuing a penalty.

I did a quick search for the Great Northern devolution business case but couldn’t find it straight away, so I suggest submitting a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to TfL to obtain the document.

The uniforms are blue with red and yellow accents, matching the Citybus logo displayed on the bus in the background and on the characters’ badges. A city skyline and a clear blue sky serve as the backdrop. Various text sections in Chinese outline a new salary scheme for bus captains, accompanied by tick marks for emphasis. A high-resolution photograph of the interior of a fully refurbished Central Line train carriage on the London Underground. The train is well-lit, clean, and empty, showing the new blue and grey patterned seating, modern handrails, and a wide perspective down the carriage. The image captures the modernised environment typical of the extensive upgrade and renewal programme for the Central Line, celebrating its 125th anniversary. A page from the Transport for London (TfL) Commissioner's Report showing updates on bus services, including the new Bakerloop BL1 Superloop route, which runs between Waterloo and Lewisham. A photo features Mayor Sadiq Khan and TfL representatives standing in front of a branded Bakerloop bus. Highlighted in the report are the refurbishment of 735 New Routemaster buses, the introduction of new electric double-deck buses on route SL5, and a milestone of over 2,500 zero-emission buses now in the fleet. The page also mentions ongoing Superloop consultations, with several new routes confirmed or proposed. The image shows a page from a report with a structured, multi-column layout containing text and section headings. On the left side, a sidebar titled "Page 54" runs vertically and lists topics such as "Car Free Day," "This is Oxford Street Week," and other updates. The central and right sections feature content under headings including "Major projects," "Piccadilly Line upgrade," and "DLR." A blue box on the right displays the number "1,444", referring to responses received for a consultation on the proposed DLR extension. The page also outlines progress on projects such as the DLR to Thamesmead extension, improvements at Gallows Corner, and the Connected London programme. Each section provides details on current initiatives, planned works, and upgrades across transport and infrastructure. The image is a slide presenting financial data. On the left, a blue section titled "Our progress" outlines financial performance, noting a 3% increase in total revenue and a 4% rise in passenger income compared to the previous year. Advertising revenue is up by 12%, and the text highlights ongoing efforts to offset inflation through a savings programme. On the right, two bar charts illustrate financial trends. The first, titled "Grow and diversify our revenue", shows income in millions of pounds from 2021/22 through to the 2025/26 budget, broken down into revenue grants, road and tunnel income, other operating income, and passenger income. The second chart, "Deliver recurring cost savings", compares like-for-like costs in billions of pounds over the same period, showing both nominal and real terms. A horizontal note clarifies that extraordinary government funding is excluded from the figures. At the bottom of the page is the phrase “A strong, green heartbeat for London”, with a white logo in the bottom-right corner.

XRM was a 1970s concept proposed as a Routemaster successor for London Transport, aiming to improve access and layout. It evolved over time. The 1999 Q-Master updated the idea with a lighter frame and improved fuel use, but the project didn’t advance due to lack of funding and support.
A collection of images and drawings relating to the XRM (Experimental Routemaster) bus. The top section shows two black and white archival photographs of an early, four-axle mock-up bus (OPC) from 1968, designed for centre-door boarding. Below this are two photographs of a model of a Four-Axle Power-Saving Bus in red London Transport livery, with a distinctive offside grille, displayed at the 1977 British Genius Exhibition. The middle section contains technical drawings from the late 1970s, showing the front, side, and rear elevation views of the XRM's design, including its four axles. At the bottom is a photograph of a white XRM model concept with a 'NESCAFÉ' advertisement banner, featuring eight wheels and a low floor. The page features four distinct line drawings illustrating the evolution of the XRM (Experimental Routemaster) double-decker bus and its variants. The initial design, shown top-left, features a pioneering low-floor concept and has four axles, while the top-right drawing displays the 9.5-metre variant with a two-staircase layout and separate front and rear doors to enhance passenger flow. The design then evolved into a more conventional model, depicted bottom-left, which featured a single centre door for single-stream boarding and simplified pillar spacing. Finally, the bottom-right image shows the smaller 8.75-metre variant, which offered reduced capacity but improved passenger safety by incorporating revised folding doors that were later replaced with two-piece doors. A technical drawing and illustrations of the Q-Master (QRM) double-decker bus by Colin Curtis. The image shows two side-profile illustrations of a red, modern, flat-floor double-decker bus with a high, squared-off front. Below this, there is a detailed mechanical cross-section drawing. This diagram illustrates the mid-mounted engine beneath the stairs, the gearbox, the flat floor, independent suspension, and the radiator and battery placement.

The image shows a table from a document labelled "Page 14", displaying meeting minutes. It’s split into two parts: the top covers new business, the bottom shows actions from previous meetings. Columns include "Minute No.", "Item/Description", "Action By", "Target Date", and "Status Note". The top section lists two items. First, dated 28/07/25, concerns the "Piccadilly Line Upgrade Programme – Stage 1: Air Conditioning System", led by Stuart Harvey, with a September 2025 target. A written update was issued on 29 September. Second, dated 31/07/25, covers “Forthcoming Key Procurement Activities: Responsible Procurement Update”, assigned to Heather McStay, with a target of October 2025. A verbal update is pending. The bottom section, "Actions from previous meetings", includes a completed item from 07/03/25 (IIPAG report) and another from 65/12/24 on a Bakerloo line depot visit, scheduled for March 2026. The image shows a document titled "Agenda Item 6" from the Programmes and Investment Committee, dated 8 October 2025. It’s the Investment Programme Report for Quarter 1, 2025/26. The report is organised into three sections: Summary, Recommendation, and Background. The Summary outlines the purpose of the report and updates on the Capital Investment Programme. The Recommendation section asks the Committee to note the report and exempt supplementary information. The Background provides updates on progress across major projects, rail and station upgrades, and safe and healthy streets. The Transport for London logo appears at the top right, along with the slogan "EVERY JOURNEY MATTERS". The page ends with “Page 23” at the bottom. The image shows a train at Earls Court Underground station. The platform is curved, with beige and brown tiles. Overhead, arched ceilings with exposed beams and lights cast a soft glow across the area. On the right-hand side of the image is a new Piccadilly line train in red, white, and blue, with a rounded glass front. An advert appears on the wall above the track, showing a person next to a slogan. The platform is empty, and a yellow safety line runs near the edge. The setting is clean and modern, capturing the contrast between the traditional station architecture and the sleek new train design. The image displays a table showing 2024/25 budget allocations, spending, and outputs for several transport sub-programmes. Columns include "Sub-programme", "Allocations April 2024 (£m)", "2024/25 Actual spend (£m)", "2024/25 expected output", and "2024/25 actual output". For "Cycle Hire", £5.0m was allocated and £4.8m spent, achieving all e-bike replacements and docking station work. The "New Routemaster Refurbishment" had £1.2m allocated and £1.4m spent, with all 51 buses refurbished. The "Cable Car" programme spent £0.6m of £0.8m, completing CCTV feasibility, ship impact protection, and ventilation system work. The "Staff Welfare" programme refurbished 21 staff facilities as planned, using £0.6m.

The New Routemaster, designed by Heatherwick Studio and built by Wrightbus, cost Transport for London around £350 million for 1,000 vehicles.

I’d like to see a better-designed electric bus, particularly to improve accessibility, especially with two wheelchair spaces.

A six-step design evolution diagram of a New Routemaster bus. Top row: A basic box shape; rounded edges are added; then further softened into a smooth, curved form. Bottom row: Windows and roof details are drawn in; then the front window is angled back; finally, a sweeping curve joins the top front to the rear, creating a more streamlined, aerodynamic shape. Two diagrams showing the interior layout and movement flow of a New Routemaster bus. The top-down plan view highlights multiple entry points and passenger circulation with red arrows. The lower perspective shows a cutaway of the bus with three staircases: front, middle, and rear. People are seen entering from different doors and moving between levels via the stairs, illustrating improved internal flow and accessibility. Two cutaway renderings of a red double-decker London bus, showing the interior layout. The top image displays the upper deck with forward-facing seats and staircases at the front and rear. The lower image shows the lower deck, including the driver’s cabin, designated wheelchair space, seating areas, and all three staircases—front, middle, and rear—highlighted with yellow and red details. Route number 38 to Victoria is displayed on both levels. A technical cross-section diagram of a bus interior shows two rows of facing seats, with the carriage split down the middle by a dashed centre line. The seats are plain grey, and feature yellow grab rails fixed to the seat backs and floor. Two recessed, red-dot light fixtures are visible in the arched ceiling, each casting a broad cone of warm yellow light downwards onto the seating area, illustrating a modern, minimalist lighting design.

A question and answer text regarding dual-door buses on the Bee Network. The question asks if there are plans to introduce dual-door buses similar to those in London and Ireland, and whether documents can be published about such plans. The response states that there are no current plans for centre door designs on Bee Network vehicles, as Greater Manchester’s infrastructure does not support it and most interchanges cannot accommodate centre door alighting. A section of a vehicle specification document titled "2.3 Doors". It outlines that all vehicles must have a single door system and lists specific requirements, including: equal width two-leaf door closure, inward glider type doors with full-depth glass, header panels to prevent finger ingress, handrails at doors (excluding emergency exits), emergency door controls that are disabled above 5kph, and a restriction that more than one entry/exit door system is not acceptable.
