Given the pithy nature of Katie Miller's counter here to Bakari Sellers' corrections, I offer the silliest musings - I have trouble deciding if Katie Miller looks more like a relative of Alicia Keys or Tatiana Wechsler...or perhaps a second cousin to Dania Ramirez...

And very true, there are far less Anglo-Saxons in what we consider the 'white' population in the United States. 'White' is a fairly elastic term in the U.S., for example, recent census data includes people of Arab descent as 'white'; e.g., in our USA past, Polish people and Italian people were not.

That is great! She is a wonderful thinker, and I imagine a splendid teacher. Several contributors are/were friends and colleagues. There is so much more to be said/written about JMB. Did you study with her in Maryland?
