I think it's also telling about how they see media and creators. To them it's content to be catered to them, they think that by giving media their attention they're entitled to ownership. When in reality it's the creators story and they're a guest in the creator's space and should act accordingly

That's such a tell that a person isn't just bigoted, but completely and hopelessly self absorbed. They're so used to being the center of attention that the second that attention shifts to someone else, they throw a gigantic tantrum.
