If you volumtarily take a car for an MOT and it fails, do you have to repair any failures and take for a re-test to clear it's name? Are the results of the voluntary test on record and available via history searches I wonder?

I would be considering replacing them with some MX-5 seats or similar and park the old ones in the garage until you can hunt down replacements or reupholster them.

Ian if that’s the AM6 Aisin box most likely a replacement valve body should sort out the changing. Trouble is getting a known good one but they are in lost of Volvo’s Peugeots and Citroens. I put one from a Citroen grand Picasso in my 3.0 v6 407 and it fixed it up a treat!
