Starting small has been uncomfortable. I try to do some little affirmations every day for two or three minutes. Sometimes I feel affirmed. More often I feel ashamed and quietly cry. Unlearning nearly two decades of shame is intimidating. However, I can change that shame into joy, one step at a time.

I've been a little since childhood, but I've never fully expressed it. I tried to be myself, but I feared being judged. Over time, I internalized others' judgments about me, and I lost my confidence and self-acceptance. Now, I want to reclaim and embrace that part of myself.
