I was inspired to make lasagna and I needed to make a meal for a family going through a rough patch, so I made some for them and some for us. We weren’t disappointed and I don’t think they were either.

Tonight my wife is raving about the pan seared sea bass served over saffron pasta from the farmer’s market with a saffron white wine sauce. It is good

As I get older, I realize most of the life experience of my elders was in a Jim Crow America. Their opinions come with some asterisks attached to them.

I made dinner for my wife’s co-workers for their holiday party. My first attempt at salmon Wellington along side asparagus and crispy potatoes. Served with a rosemary lemon butter sauce. crab stuffed mushrooms were the appetizer. In the chaos, I didn’t get pics of the salad. All was well received.

I love when past me takes care of future me. Last week I had leftover crab meat, so I made some crab cakes and froze them for later. Today they made for an excellent lunch.
