Getting major Babylon (2019) vibes from the Darwin Incident anime. They are trying to tackle difficult themes but can only present the most surface level exposition of said themes. It's only been 2 episodes for Darwin, so I hope it gets better.

Initial thoughts on Winter 2026 Anime. Very excited for Frieren and Ikoku Nikki. Bottom tier is for shows I'm interested in but may binge later if people say they're good.
I'm expecting Frieren and Ikoku Nikki to be strong AOTY contenders.

I thought the Day1/2 [Cast] information for Njigasaki Boom Boom Bee live only indicated which duo songs would be performed which day. I didn't realize only half of them would be appearing on each day.

Shibou Yuugi episode 1 was amazing to watch. But I will lose interest really fast if we're just repeating the same plot over the next 10 episodes.

Ranking of anime that I enjoyed in 2025, movies excluded.
Finally got around to Takopi. I wouldn't describe it as a positive experience. I'll probably never watch it again. But some say art is supposed to make you feel and no other work has made me feel the way I did watching Takopi.

Final impressions for Fall 2025 Anime.
I'm glad I stuck with Watatabe. It felt kind of meandering at first but had a gut-wrenching pay off.
Also had a great time with Cinderella Gray, Egatae, and Saihito.
Wandance had a pretty good story and likeable characters despite its questionable cg models.

Final impressions for Fall 2025 Anime.
I'm glad I stuck with Watatabe. It felt kind of meandering at first but had a gut-wrenching pay off.

I'm happy that Ruri Dragon is getting a KyoAni adaptation. I also think it's perfectly fair to worry that a collaboration between KyoAni and one of the largest manga publications in Japan may be one-sided. If anyone can assure me otherwise, that would be nice.

It's way past time I drop Digimon Beatbreak. May give it one more episode if I'm free next week but no chance I'm continuing past this season.

One title sweeping all the awards generates more hype and buzz for The Game Awards than if multiple games each get the recognition they deserve. That is the only explanation for tonight's results.

Ok we're finally going somewhere with watatabe. I had a feeling it can't *just* be toxic yuri. Looking forward to finding out what Shiori's true motivations are.
