Just wrote *shakes head* in a message to my supervisor (who is under 30) and then realized I might has well be writing in Middle English (ay thine maiden doth rotate her head in despair) for all that supervisor would understand, then I had to go and hunt for the correct emoji.

Attending another spouse book signing. Luckily the lighting in the store is dim enough it is difficult to see half my blouse is soaked from an attempt to clean tamarind off it.

(speaking of depression, I'm on my second course of trans cranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and am happy to answer questions since many folks aren't familiar, sadly the most important Q for most Americans will be "how do I get my insurance to pay" and that I can't help with :( )

As a friend noted, fury isn't a sustainable depression treatment long term, but I did start recovering from a meltdown today when I received a professional email that was so full of wrongness that I stopped crying and spiraling because CORRECTING WRONG was needed.

Life in immigration law lately:

-learning your workplace protocol for reporting security threats like the org being doxxed on Twitter for helping refugees by folks who might be encouraging vigilantism against such orgs

-A Trump EO threatening us: www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/...
Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Prevents Abuses of the Legal System and the Federal Courts
ADDRESSING ATTORNEY MISCONDUCT: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed a memorandum to hold attorneys and law firms accountable for unethical conduct

Boo Tolkien reference clearly bigger hit with this bookstore crowd than the Chuck Tingle reference.

Screenshot of NTA for Mahmoud Khalil. Real power move by DHS to submit the same quality of slop for one of their most high profile cases right now- going to break down the glorious incompetence of allegation 3 ("admitted to the US at unknown time/place, or MAYBE you are an LPR") in comments

@chefstentor.bsky.social has had to endure this from me for nearly two decades now, plus the classic "I shout from downstairs- don't get response- immediately message "HEY R UR HEADPHONES ON YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT C.S. LEWIS'S UK GREENCARD MARRIAGE ASAP."
Feeling like a predatory subscription model because my boyfriend never signed up for the live news feed that is dating me and he is having a hard time figuring out how to mute notifications (me following him around the house telling him things)

This is like when there's a 1.5/1.5 cache with a string of DNFs and I go do a perfunctory poke around just so I can log my own DNF and hopefully get a reviewer to archive it. #geocaching
This Fox segment on the search for the shooter is incredible. Look at how the NYPD searches Central Park lol

I called an immigration court I am unfamiliar with and was overjoyed that the person taking my call was pleasant and informative. But now I'm angry because I realize that my joy comes because I was expecting to have to battle for a simple request (recordings of a client's hearings)

Had great fun at a benefit concert last night, realized I am not a good leftist because while I chanted "El pueblo unido jamás será vencido*" along with the crowd I kept thinking, "history would like a word."

*The people united will never be defeated.

Just found out that some yinzers.are actually mad about Andrew Carnegie erasure because they're renaming the science center. I assure you, the library system, university, dino species, museums, municipality etc. are keeping the legacy alive.
