Yeah, I totally get that. I think the show, as great as it is, loses a lot of its character without having read the book first. The book makes the show a lot more impactful since you know what’s really going on in their heads.

It’s actually a quality show. Without the book context it might seems a bit more smutty than anything at first. I think the show is much more enjoyable after reading the book. There is a lot of emotional development for the characters that the show might not be able to portray in 60 minutes 😅

And now Ilya is in therapy and there’s just ZERO Russian accent

Also not enjoying this domesticated version of them. Sorry not sorry.

It’s like casting a different actor for the same role. It just kinda ruins the continuity for me.
