I want to meet these Labour supporters who most want to vote against the Lib Dems

I suspect this time he was actually on the side of the 48, envisaging himself as supreme leader

The Last Jedi is an utterly hopeless film, it doesn't have a clue what it's doing so I can't say I agree with it being 4th. The only film I ever gone to see again in the cinema because I was convinced it couldn't have been as bad as I thought it was the first time, only to discover it absolutely was

Big news for Andy Burnham

Yes fair point. TBF, I know the royal family remains inexplicably enduringly popular in the main, so maybe out of touch was the wrong choice of words. But I suppose the onus is on Emily and Jon to actually justify why it's a good thing if that's their view, which they singularly failed to do

Lewis once again on the money and Jon (and to a lesser extent, Emily) totally out of touch when it comes to the concept of a monarchy in the present day. The whole idea is totally insane if you take just half a step back.

Waste of an episode
October 23, 2025 at 7:41 AM
Why does Emily keep going on about the monarchy being a "fairytale"? It's so bizarre. They are an anachronism, no more

Speaking as an accountant, it can get pretty messy.
October 20, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Right, I see - thanks for the info! Thankfully I don't follow either of them close enough to have picked up on that..

This is almost certainly my ignorance so apologies in advance for that, but why is this clip specifically antisemitic rather than than simply offensive to all non-Christians or anyone who believes in the separation of church and state?

Agree that VAT can be very messy. But knowing you have to charge VAT on your sales if they're above the VAT limit on obviously standard rated items items like merchandise is about as basic as it gets.

My hot take is that party conferences should take place during the Summer recess and not take up valuable parliamentary time. We'll also find out just how important they are to party members/media if they're taking place in the middle of August.

There is zero chance of Christian Conservatism being leveraged here to restrict abortion rights in the way that it is in the US, it's just a completely different culture.

The hypocrisy is a given. What's more pronounced in this clip is how much younger he seems, he's clearly declining quickly at the moment.
October 1, 2025 at 5:24 PM
I can't imagine how embarrassing it must be watching this for US citizens

Tell me you've never been to London without telling me you've never been to London
September 17, 2025 at 8:14 AM
I just can't see it. I could be wrong, but too many fundamentals of the poor position Labour in (mostly the economic ones) don't change by changing leader. And there's no obvious replacement people are looking to circle around.
September 14, 2025 at 8:57 AM
They barely platform the Lib Dems with 70 odd MPs so I wouldn't hold out much hope
September 2, 2025 at 10:30 AM
The commentary from the right is insane, and frankly racist from people who seem to have never set foot here. The comments on the equivalent post over on the other place are pretty disgusting.

A mealy mouthed answer on gay marriage from the founder, as well as great degree of arrogance in general. Faith and spirituality can absolutely be beneficial for some people in finding purpose in their lives, but organised religion continues to largely be a blight on society.

Real rollercoaster, I was sure "bag guy" was going to be the villain.

Definitely not most people from Yorkshire, but there is a type of person from Yorkshire who really leans into it.

Right, it's almost a bit conspiracist (I won't got quite that far because I'm sure it's sourced). McSweeny may have a lot of influence, but he's not a Svengali.

I know the BBC feel it constantly has to provide balance, but this is a completely embarrassing question to be posing.
