NYT is only saying that because people are tuning THEM out. They normalized that f***in guy, and now they’re worried because people don’t trust them.

I’m here for it. Today actually felt like there were stakes that mattered for most of the teams. It seemed like the last match day of groups previously had most things decided.

They’ll change it to some tacky corporatespeak like “Innovation Leader.”

It made me so mad! There was no need to change it from the graphic novel. If Doc Manhattan gets blamed for nuking 10 major cities worldwide, why would ANY country believe the best course of action is to unify against HIM? The whole point of the squid was to have an outside enemy to unite against.

The HBO Series was amazing, I’m really glad they made it and stuck to canon. The movie always infuriated me, because it was perfect until the end. The Dr. Manhattan scapegoat makes literally 0 sense in context and would absolutely have led to WWIII. It was the alien squid for a fucking reason!!!!!

That’s a great question, I feel like he’d have to be for “People are Strange” to be a thing.
