There's basically no metric in which I think that "manlets" have better lives than me and I make no effort at all to be "manly" I just do what needs to be done, regardless of if that's sewing, replacing an outlet, baking, doing the dishes, plumbing work, helping the kids with homework, whatever.

I've always thought this picture looked like you were an extra in the Deepwater Horizon movie, are covered in oil, and just saw that the whole thing is exploding behind you while you're trying to run.

Sending people off to be tortured until they die as being something "laughed off" is just disgusting.

Well, she is under a lot of pressure from Trump...

I'll show myself out.

You're probably going to have to either have the charger spots be farthest away, or patrolled in some way, otherwise people will just park their cars there regardless, just like they do almost everywhere else that's both crowded and has charging opportunities.

Did she eventually come up with a cunning plan to remove the cat, or did the cat just get bored and decide that a random blanket in another room seemed more interesting?

The goal here is if you make all writing as bad as AI, then AI will be able to write just as well as any person. You might not be able to make AI as good as a human, but you can try to make the humans way, way worse until the AI "catches up"

I hope you have a good nap!
December 19, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Yeah, although I've pretty much taken that one step further for all content ever since I watched a clip from what I thought was an episode of ST:TNG I didn't recognize and then rapidly realized it wasn't a real episode and was AI generated. It was good enough to fool me for at least a minute.

I feel that, as a society, we have been paying for the bad ideas of a few dozen guys since basically the concept of a society was first developed.

I usually first notice that vacuum decay hasn't dropped us to a lower energy level, obliterating the laws of physics and wiping out everything in a destructive wave moving near the speed of light. The next thing I always notice is the black hole thing though, so I'm definitely with you here.

Do your contracts prohibit having your properties that are being optioned be produced using AI?
December 17, 2025 at 7:16 PM
I only made it through about half the contract before I had seen enough. I cannot imagine a situation where I would advise anyone to sign this for any reason. This is why you should have professionals review your contracts or, at the absolute least, you should read the entire thing before you sign

I think that for the vast majority of us, we can do neither. Please see my upcoming book: "How to not write novels and not influence people" for more information.

I haven't read it, but you seem to disagree with the majority of critics. Although, anything by King at this point may just get a pass regardless of anything else just because of the author.

It was about 153 degrees Delisle when I got up, but then it went up to about 145. It's going to get colder tonight though and go down to about 168.

I got stuck on a train in business class across from two people who for two hours discussed their various romantic entanglements in vivid detail while I was trying to work, so I understand this idea completely.

That person needs therapy, real or fake Bill O'Reilly, definitely therapy.

I cannot fathom the idea of pretending to be someone that terrible anywhere.

He's always a straight shooter when he's aiming for laughs. At least he wasn't stringing us along and got to the point quickly.
December 8, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Come on, you own a house, you're not a Millennial. Heck, you're not even one of the people that we get to argue what generation you're in, I think everyone would agree you're Gen-X, unlike Millennials where there's about four years difference around the start date for that generation.
December 8, 2025 at 3:48 PM
I think it's intentional to try to make us more dependent on their terrible AI. Just make everything but AI as useless as possible so that people won't have any other options left.

Where is the mushroom? I need the mushroom!!
December 5, 2025 at 1:19 PM
Go fast and break things! Wait, not those things! We needed THOSE things, stop breaking them!

Even a quart is more expensive than that, and that's for the store brand here.
December 4, 2025 at 5:10 PM
For every task left to do, shave that portion off your beard off as a progress indicator of where you are in the process. You won't have to ever answer questions about "are you almost done" again as we can all look and see "he's 8/10ths shaved, we're almost there"!
