I have to say this is the book to read. Holden correctly in my view describes the behaviour as corrupt. In Left Out, Pogrund & Maguire tend to gloss over this and suggest that maybe it was ‘clever politics’

Muslims are not a problem however it suits the 1% to present them as such. It’s simple divide and rule; sadly an innate ‘fear of the unfamiliar’ that we all have as humans can be played on by the unscrupulous. In many cases the words immigrant and Muslim become interchangeable in people’s minds
