Chatting with PDF or making a podcast with NotebookLM is the intellectual equivalent of AI-generated nonconsensual sexual images derived from pictures of real people both of which rely on a fundamental rejection of the right to one’s own representational image and reputation through public depiction

Ph.D. Candidate in Education here. IQ is a highly dubious construct rooted in eugenic ideas. That 50% number is entirely made up and has no basis in reality.

It occurs to me that she is the zine you sent me through the mail. Reading about your mom in these posts makes it clear that the love she shared with you is the same love that is so beautifully expressed in your zine about resisting ‘AI’ and embracing humanity. 💔❤️

I know there are lots of individual faculty who use @quarto.org to build their own course sites, but I'm looking for folks who are using it at scale to manage a larger portfolio of courses, either in a department or a whole institution. #edusky #highered

No spice in sight. Homeopathic mac-no-cheese. Sahara dry White turkey meat foregrounded 🤔. Cuts of brown meat overdone. Stuffing for 3. Gravy MIA. What’s in the bottom left? Microwaved frozen veggies. Cranberry sauce looks ok (likely cranberries from Canada). Are those supposed to be croissants?

If this is you, I'd love to hear from you. What has been your experience? Do you integrate with an LMS? Do you build in discussion tools like #discourse? #edusky #highered

It isn't just html files, its a standalone folder with all the assets to host a site, meaning I can compress that folder, upload it to moodle, and use the course site as a web server for a full @quarto.org site, including all the scholarly publishing goodies and structured text #edusky #highered

with @github.com or @gitlab.com in the background managing and tracking versions of plain text markdown files, @quarto.org can render a wide variety of output formats, including MSWerd (but why?), pdf (even more why?), or html (there it is!). #highered #edusky

Then I started learning #r when I started my PhD and discovered #bookdown for scholarly publishing...which leads me to @quarto.org which I think is a significantly underappreciated publishing workflow for #highered courses #edusky
