Lifelong Mainer. Star Wars fan nearly as long. Also love comic books, book books, David Lynch, David Simon, David Milch . . . just all the Davids. Red Sox & Oilers fan (covering the coasts). Pinko liberal because "progress" is in progressive.

Because at age 5 in 1977, seeing #StarWars on the big screen was a religious experience:

It’s #StarWarsSunday!
Share something Star Wars—toy, book, scene, character—from any era! This is a positive space & it’s all good!

Is there a sci-fi movie that you defend tooth and nail, but you feel a little alone in loving it?

I know there have been "better" sculpts and more articulation in the many years since, but the Super Powers line is the gold standard for superhero figures (and, for me, second only to the original Kenner Star Wars figures).

Happy #WolverineWednesday, for those who celebrate!

Part of my all-time favorite run on Daredevil.
Nocenti's writing took it back to superheroics, with a quirky sensibility, while JRJr & Al Williamson were a perfect match, in my mind, to bring DD's adventures to life. Just phenomenal!

I love Ditko's Spider-Man so much!
cmbeckett1972.bsky.social
Nice!
I expect he will love that.

That was a great time to be reading Batman! Breyfogle & Aparo on the main books! Artistic heaven!

But the Yankees have seven players with 20 or more home runs this year. Seven!
And Jays pitchers like Chris Bassitt & José Berríos who are —checks notes— on the IL and not on the ALDS roster, are susceptible to the long ball.

I read that on ESPN. Jays beware!

With the recent return of #LAZARUS by @gregrucka.com & @michaellark.bsky.social, I decided to go back to the beginning and do a proper re-read.
And, as much as I love Rucka’s writing, I forgot how damn good this is. That first storyline slays! I’m ready for more!

Yeah, that’s tough.
We all have stories like that.

Phenomenal!

We had a great LCS owner in Bangor, ME back in the 90s & he did a few small conventions. He was all-in on Milestone and at the 5th & final show in 1994 a slew of creators were there. The books were only a few issues in and I got a Static sketch from John Paul Leon. Prized possession.
A sketch of Static, from Milestone Media, by John Paul Leon, in 1994. Stellar!!

I wholeheartedly second this!
