St Nicholas, Stillington. Grandad was v involved in the church as well as head at the village school. And a biggish cheese in the cricket club (turning to umpiring when running between the wickets became too much). Can’t remember who did his window. Will check in on my evening dog walk.

Oh my word I live just down the road from crayke and did not know of these otters. Will go for a look. The only bit of stained glass in my village church is in mem of my grandad. Yes that’s the Lords sign thing top left. Big cricketer was grandad.

Do you know Get Sleepy pod? Sweet bedtime stories for adults (not like that!) Ordinarily I listen to tales of Auggie the cat. But! They’ve just started the odyssey. Only 1st one out so far - v sweet. Athene to Ithaca, Telemachus sets off to track down his dad. Penelope unpicks her sewing overnight.

I listened to mystery hour this morning driving from near ampleforth to Norwich (near wells NTS?) and was moved to tears when you talked about your RNLI friend. What a magnificent organisation they are. Friend’s dad has a boat named after him at Wells.
