I often wax poetic about Pokemon Go Summer 2016, but it truly makes me sad to realize that we'll never have anything like that again.
I can't think of an IP as broad, as "collectable," or as multi-generationally beloved as Pokemon.
Maybe I'm wrong (I hope I'm wrong) but that was truly special.

Since we're moving soon, I packed up non-essentials several weeks ago, including my dog's Guards jersey because there was NO WAY there would be a post season.
I unpacked it this morning just in case.

Fun fact, your dog can have bad anxiety even before you start moving to a new home and can have the grossest poops and then you'll see blood and think she's dying and rush to the vet but it's just an irritated bum from so much pooping and you'll cry a lot and she'll judge you for being dramatic

My grandma wrote me a letter when I was a baby ('91). She was sick and wanted me to know she'd always be there, even after being "called home."
She passed in '97.
To feel so loved by someone you barely remember is so painful and so comforting.

Watching SGDQ as we do and I have to say both my fiance and I are really appreciating the consistent effort by the organizers highlighting black, women, and queer runners and commentators. They really are putting their money where their mouth is, and its good to see!!
