Our pain and grief need not be bound by borders, religion, or politics. Brooklyn is a Muslim, Jewish, Palestinian, and Israeli borough. We feel the weight of this conflict every day. I pray for an immediate bilateral ceasefire and the peace, safety, and dignity we all deserve.

Even with rock crushing halted, dust continues to blow from uncovered piles at DOT’s Concrete Recycling Facility.
@joannesimonbk52.bsky.social and I sent a letter to DOT last month but haven't gotten a response.

DOT must address this dust and fulfill its commitment to close the facility.
