Graphic that has a US map and reads "11 localities have taken action against algorithmic rental price fixing." On the map, 11 localities are marked as having passed a ban (Seattle, King County, Berkeley, San Francisco, Santa Monica, San Diego, Minneapolis, Providence, Hoboken, Jersey City, Philadelphia), 3 as exploring one (Portland, San Jose, and Chicago) and 2 as having passed a resolution to voice opposition (Nashville and Missoula)

“‘We think in this moment where we see weakening standards at the federal level, having greater coordination amongst entities between jurisdictions is the right thing to do,’ said Board chair Teresa Mosqueda, who sponsored the amendment.”
New placards are coming to King County food businesses to warn about labor violations
You know those placards that show a restaurant’s food safety rating? Soon there will be another sign next to it that says whether that business has unresolved wage violations.

We capped off another #D8Day at the Black Legacy Institute! Thanks to ED Kateesha Atterberry for the tour, & for all that Urban Black Development Firm does. We’re so thrilled about this institution and historical museum in the heart of D8. Come to an open house in November! More information to come…

It was an honor to champion this project at the County and secure $3 million in capital funding in our 2025 budget, which only made the project possible because of the vast number of entities that came together to fund it, too. @governorferguson.bsky.social @meetjoenguyen.bsky.social

Today I co-sponsored a proclamation marking 9/15-10/15 as Latine Heritage Month AND a recognition of 9/16 as Mexican Independence Day!

When oppressive powers are attempting to force Latinos into the shadows in fear, it is all the more important for those who are able to, to be loud and proud.

Today, I signed onto this statement from NAHCO on the Supreme Court ruling in Noem v. Perdomo. We will continue to advocate for the safety, equality, and wellbeing of all Latinos.
