Greetings from war-torn Portland, OR. Remind me - as a Portland-based autism researcher, should I be more afraid of the radical foodies and extremist coffee shop goers taking over our streets or Tylenol?

@autisminadulthood.bsky.social annual Editorial Board dinner at #INSAR2025 (with a few guests). What a phenomenal team! Hard to believe that 7 years ago we showed up to INSAR with our first little Preview Issue. I so appreciate all the people who have made our journal into what it is today.

Great to see many of our AASPIRE team members and collaborators at #INSAR2025! Missing those who couldn’t come. I’m incredibly fortunate to work with such wonderful people.

Thanks!! And yes, Clarivate recognized an error in the calculation, so they revised our JIF to 9.9. (I don’t think the difference is meaningful, but it’s still nice.) I’m most excited about the actual real-world impact the journal is having, thanks to all the amazing people involved!

So proud of Dr Aimee Grant and her participatory research team. It’s been an absolute delight to consult on her project and to see how deeply she values equity and inclusion. One of the best examples of a team following AASPIRE’s Guidelines that I’ve ever seen!!

That’s devastating. So sorry to hear this news. My deepest condolences. I know @stevesilberman.bsky.social hated the overuse of the word “impact”, but his writing, advocacy, humor, and compassion did have an amazing impact on the world. I’m sure I’m not the only one who will really miss him.

Clarivate just released the 2023 Journal Impact Factors and wow - @AutismAdulthood now has a JIF of 9.5!!! Thanks to everyone who has poured their love and energy into our journal. Goes to show the value of taking an inclusive approach to research and scholarship! Go AiA!
