Hi bluesky! I’m sorry for the lack of posts! I’ve been trying to learn some new techniques for shooting auroras which include a completely new work flow for post processing :) it’s tedious and i haven’t quite got it down yet, but these are the results so far! #aurora #alaska #northernlights

It’s just such a cool formation! Sometimes it’s hard to take pictures when the sky is so active like this but I really like this structure and I thought it was worth sharing :) #aurora #alaska #northernlights

Imagine waking up one night and looking outside while something like this is going on.. we are lucky enough to be quite used to them now, but I cannot imagine what someone not knowing what they are would think if they saw this just by chance! #aurora #alaska #northernlights

I thought this was really cool; the aurora on the morning of January first looks eerily similar to the drawings of the September 1770 event over Japan! It shows how intense the auroras have historically been & how valuable historical accounts (especially pre-photography era) can be!
