I'd argue that the NG would be more reliable than police forces. See the MN fraternal order of police statement on being 100% down with ICE activities. I just don't see local police being willing to arrest the feds, even if empowered to do so

Local and state police are arresting protesters right now, not sure how helpful they would be honestly
