Luckily "selfish" is subjective. What's important to you, May not be as important to others and vice versa.

Some marginalized groups like Black people have always lived under oppressive US governments. This is no different. They were also able to figure out ways to thrive under these condition.

To assume the people who didn't vote for Kamal, but voted for Trump is a weird way to think.

Many people chose not to vote or voted for the Green partt candidate.

I don't think the people who didn't vote for Kamal la automatically vote for Trump or believed in Trump. There was a Green party candidate and many people chose not to vote.

I wouldn't vote for someone who supported the genocide of my friends and family who live in another country. That doesn't make me a bigot.
