Doesn't there have to be some level of interest to get people to follow along in the first place? If nobody is listening is there really accountability?

It's yaml all the way down these days.
I got halfway into K3s, then remembered that I'm actually trying to build and host a project not make hosting THE project.

Unraid looks interesting, I hadn't heard of it. Sad to hear Portainer isn't meeting your needs, I was about to look into it. But you can get pretty far with swarm, a few compose files, and some shell scripts.

Curious why put TS as a sidecar, I put it on the host which makes discovery and ssh easy.

That's exactly my experience, what are you building! Tailscale as a meshing layer makes so much sense. K3s supposedly works well with it, but I'm looking for something even simpler.

Trying to build it myself but we'll see.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you don't need to create the network in the CLI. If the first compose file you start doesn't define the network as external, it will just own the network and create it.

Saving this one for later.

This is awesome! I've been trying to figure out a fun way to play chess in one dimension. I even had the domain name for a while.

It didn't occur to me to have the world loop though, that's probably enough to make it interesting. 🤔

Awesome. Man, is anything as fun as coding up the bones of a new 2D platformer? I haven't built one in years but in high school I probably built 30 of them.

I think it can be done as a one liner to put each node on a brand new tailnet. It's a pretty amazing tool.
