In American culture the car is a symbol of independence and freedom. The belief that you are always tethered to some larger system takes away this intangible attraction of car ownership.

And of course is forever a cybersecurity risk.

Cloudflare has been abused in the past to hide attackers' IP addresses. Now their domains (like AWS, google docs etc.) are also used for phishing. The advantage isn't just the trustworthiness of the name - it's also harder to detect and block.

Apple clearly has the power to collect a 30% share of AppStore revenue. So the question would seem to be what % of market share do you need for that to be a problem?

Greater or less than the iPhone share of 60%?

EU parliament approved the AI act yesterday: www.europarl.europa.eu/news/en/pres... It’s great to see early attention to the risks AI poses to fundamental rights.

In time we’ll see the limits of legislation, and the effects of varying AI regulation in different regions.
