It's a quaint horror walking sim. Takes about two hours to finish. I got this on sale for 4.79, and that should be the regular price (it's 11.99!). There's just not enough meat here to justify that price; you're paying mostly for the vibe. Easy plat, though.

I did a quick NG+ run to get the frenzied flame ending and the platinum trophy. The game remains one of the best of the decade and the (current) pinnacle of the souls-like genre. That said, I'll never do this ending again because FUCK getting down to the Three Fingers.

What a fun take on the original. The graphical upgrades are amazing, and the QoL additions are very welcome, but at it's core this is still an old-school JRPG. It's not easy. It may actually be a bit harder than the original due to using the DQ3 engine. A great game.

I like the story of this game. The gameplay - specifically the monster sections - not so much. My recommendation would be to play in story mode so you can largely ignore the monsters, as otherwise it's just a bunch of trial and error to get past. I think it is worth playing, though.

A walking sim sequel to At the Mountains of Madness. It's probably not bad if you've never been exposed to other such sequels, but for my money I'd rather just reread Hive by Tim Curran. At least it's easy to see both endings. Not really recommended unless there's a deep sale.

This is kind of a horror version of The Stanley Parable. It's very good, although it gets very heavy by the end. There were a few times I had to just wander about trying to suss out what to do, but overall I really enjoyed this game. Worth a play if somber horror is your thing.

Not a bad way to spend 10 hours or so. What gameplay there is is incredibly limited (fill in the blanks with no penalty for failure), but the story kept me going to the end. If VNs are your thing, this one is worth it if you can get it on a good sale.

A fun little Zelda clone. The pixel graphics are great, the gameplay is a lot of fun, and the bosses are nice little challenges without being overwhelming. It's about four hours long - a very nice way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

A game of two extremes. Cool story, very much a J-horror title. Atrocious gameplay. This souls-lite or whatever you want to call it that the devs went for is just not fun to me. I got the default ending and want to see more, but can't imagine playing it again. Off to Youtube!

This is a good game that's a few steps shy of excellent. I love the throwback, no-handholding paradigm, it was a ton of fun. Combat though...Oof. Basically no variety in either enemies or attacks. And the bosses, such as they are, are terrible.
Still, it's absolutely worth a play.

A passable metroidvania, though I was ready for it to be over well before the end (and I skipped post-game content). It doesn't bring anything new to the genre, but it's well-made and movement and combat are fluid. Worth it for the price I suppose.

A quaint little horror puzzle platformer. It was very intuitive for the most part, though there were a few areas where it wasn't clear you could actually make a jump because it was just at the absolute edge of your reach. I had a good enough time to check out the sequels.

I've played a lot of games. I'm also not one to give in to hype. That said, this is perhaps the best RPG I've played. It hits EVERY note perfectly, and I struggle to think of another game that does the same. An absolute experience of a game, everyone should play it

I originally skipped this because of the well-documented performance issues, but with a shiny new Switch 2 in hand, I figured why not? I'm glad I did, this is most fun I've had with a Pokemon game since I played Emerald back in the day. An overall excellent game.

Man, what a ride. One of the true comeback stories of modern gaming. Everything about this game was a blast - it took me about 105 hours for this run (not 100%, but damned close) but it didn't feel like it, which is a rare trick in my experience.

A third person shooter with some soulslike elements. Overall I enjoyed it, though some bosses were horribly designed, at least for solo-play; there was just way too much going on at one time to keep track. This includes the final boss. That said, teaming up with friends is a blast.
