Well this year was the first year I figured the heat death of the universe might not be inevitable (DESI results, cosmology crisis]
Microplastics awareness went way up
But above all, it was the year ChatGPT became alive
2025 passed too quickly. But maybe AI will help figure out how to slow it down

Is this year going to be the "last normal year"?
Part of me thought it was last year [i didn't believe AI-2027, but it still indicated a small update], but 2025 was still pretty normal.
[obvs 2020/2021 were not "normal years", but 2023-2024 seemed pretty normal]

It took a lot to get me to get sleep apnea surgery (including COVID, which made remote appointments possible from WA, and way easier in WA than MA), but this was one of the most consequential decisions I ever made in my life. Even if it didn't completely cure it.

I got to try a Kernel headset for 2 days straight, but thick black hair kills much of the signal (down to 30%) and it's so uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time [especially if you don't have have smg to support your head on it]

I feel shame over boasting myself as "more than I was", though I was also heavily egged into doing it.
[I do self-correct tho, and my ability to self-correct on this axis WHILE STILL BEING INTERESTING marks me as different from "permanently delusional" optimists/pessimists].

If you can straddle across micro-generations of people that barely interact w/ each other, that's enough regularization to prevent overfitting to any one micro-generation
