- Technical writing
- Educating others on technical topics
- Side projects

You aren't pitching side projects on your resume!

No! Your potential employer does not want to buy your TODO app... But I bet you can still call out:
- What you learned
- What made it interesting
- Some technical relevance

It's in a manager's best interest to keep their employees engaged in their work.

It's not as trivial as assigning the most skilled person to an area. It's not always the next immediate priority...
