When you're trying to learn beetles on your own and you end up taking photos through the scope, your camera roll is just this.
small round beetles that can roll into a ball. Tentatively ID'd to leiodidae beetles with orange and black patterning on their elytra. Mycetophagus Beetle with super odd antennae. Probably Sphindidae Two beetles, one missing an elytra, both possibly erotylidae

First acrocerid in my traps. I snorted so loud. Why are their heads that small?!

During my routine checks of our insect zoo today, I spent some quality time with Coconut our curly-haired tarantula, and saw a recently molted angel. 😇
A hand holding a 12 year old curly-haired tarantula , spider taking up majority of the palm of the hand. Spider is missing a patch of fuzz on her opisthosoma because she itches it for some reason. Two cockroaches, one the normal black/dark brown and the other recently molted and not yet sclerotized, so it is pure white.

A new blessing has entered the chat. Most of the membracids I've seen in this area are unornamented, so this was a fun thing to find in my vial.
