I'm old enough to remember when IDEs were really really slow and sometimes collapsed if they had too much code, so if it gets on my case I'm fine with it.

I got through 4/5 rounds for a FAANG job and then last minute they tell me they're not hiring anyone in my time zone anymore. Wtf is up with interviewing nowadays?

I actually did write a cubic function once and ran it in production...didn't go over well when I had to wait overnight for the file processing to work.
