You know… might have to add some of those to the display too

Or… I have an MTH Zcontroller set that does some weird AC stuff to make the locomotive do things… maybe I figure that out.

Thanks! So many random things to do still, but loving the fact that for the most part, it works and I can control the train from my phone.

Added smooth starts, stops, and direction changes today. Also made the UI behave.

Next on the list is either:
- Get as much functionality built into the DC controller as you could from DCC
- Get a DCC board for one of my Kato locomotives and try to figure out what to do with that.

UI -> API -> Command Bus (MQTT) -> RPi w/ PWM hat for DC motor control.

Feels like I’m missing something from a modern architecture standpoint. Some other component to over complicate things.

The thing is done with the DC motor functionality of some Stepper Motor HAT.

Web UI talks to an API, which plops the command onto a message bus. Edge device picks that up and does a thing with it.
