A mandate comes from a decisive win in both the Electoral College and the popular vote.

Trump (2024): Narrow popular vote margin (< 2%) and Electoral College win.

FDR (1936): 24.3% popular vote margin, 523–8 Electoral College.

Reagan (1984): 18.2% popular vote margin, 525–13 Electoral College.

Happy 100th Birthday to my Soror, the legendary late Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm! A trailblazer who shattered barriers and made history with unapologetic strength and fierce love for the people.

Your legacy still inspires me to fight for justice, equality, and a better tomorrow.
