Abbotsford #Canucks' leading scorer ranks 127th in the AHL by points. Ben Berard, who's gone pointless thru their last 3 games, has 7 over 12 GP (career best in the A)

He leads Abbotsford with THREE 5v5 points. THREE.

They're trying. But it's funny how bleak the Canucks' situation is top to bottom

His playoff shots/gp, points/gp, shooting %, and rate of goals scored and conceded while on-ice have ALL improved over his regular season rates.

Though his SH/GP and PTS/GP rank 17th among skaters (low). There is undeniably LOTS of good conveniently happening at 5v5 with him on ice.

Can he PK tho?

Kirill Kudryavtsev MIGHT be *that* guy in Abbotsford right now.

At 5v5, the Abbotsford #Canucks are up 12-2 in goals in his minutes! When the game is TIED, the Farm is up 7-2! Trailing by 1+ they're up 3-0!

Might be more noise than signal because "AHL do be like dat."

still! Promising trajectory

The message is, "It's dealt with and is over. Stop talking about it."

Maybe there are legal ramifications?

Or the egos of a bunch of AHLers don't want this bizarre incident with their PBP guy (who is never sent on the road during the regular season, mind you) to overshadow their big historic win

A team of efficiency shooters, in a season where save % dipped to its lowest point since the 1994-95 season, net just seven double-digit goalscorers across the roster.

Räty tied Miller and Pettersson by goals per-game

Two of the top players by goals per game are likely gone this summer too

yikes

From IMac... that entire middle paragraph is just a shot at EP40 for coming into the season unprepared.

These guys worked with Crosby, Letang, Malkin, and MAF and got back-to-back cups. They have zero patience for "unpreparedness" from a seven-year NHL vet.

The last sentence too 😬

The #Canucks (through leaks to national media) LOATHED Pettersson leaning on his wrist injury last playoffs; even tasked Hughes and Miller with "toughening him up." A brilliant idea in hindsight (/s)

Reading into these Tocchet quotes extra hard, now that they're eliminated 😬

Sort of what I mean about the "taking effort" though.

And yes, fully aware of the hypocrisy of my media literacy comment, by saying so. It's definitely on me to put in the effort to curate a feed that works, and thanks for pointing me in the right direction

Look up sciatic nerve flossing exercises. Super easy to do, and help loosen things up.

Also check out back_pain fix on IG. They had a bunch of lower back exercises that helped me out

Lekkerimäki and EP2 get the buzz, but so should Ty Mueller, who is quietly having a SOLID rookie campaign as Abbotsford's 2LC!

The 21 year old plays all situations and is now 3rd in all-situations scoring & 2nd in 5v5 scoring

Team outscoring opp 14-10 with him on-ice at 5v5 (3rd best differential)

Scoring 9 goals over 2 games and picking up a shutout helped their shooting % and platoon save % a bit, but their PDO still sits 4th-lowest in the AHL at a combined 97.3%

Shooting clip (7.6%) ties Rochester for 3rd-lowest, and their platoon save percentage improved marginally to .897 (5th-worst)

The bounces appear to have started going in the club's favour for this six-game road trip. They are back in the top 10 by shots generated per game and fourth by fewest shots allowed per game.

Their control of shots places them sixth in the league by shot rate differential.

Stevens has crushed his minutes at 5v5 for Abbotsford this year, typically deployed with rookie Cooper Walker and Ty Glover.

Stevens has been on-ice for 11 of the clubs last 20 5v5 goals! Cooper Walker, Jett Woo, and Elias Pettersson are 2nd, having been on-ice for 7 of last 20.

Monday check-in on the #Canucks' farm following a successful weekend where they picked up 7-1 and 2-0 wins over the Henderson Silver Knights.

The dubs helped fix some players' ugly 5v5 on-ice numbers, but overall still a WIP

With all the call-ups, veteran C John Stevens is the 5v5 points leader

For the second season in a row, Sasson sits as one of the Farm's leaders in 5v5 scoring. He has more primary points than the next skater has total 5v5 points. 2nd in shots.

Under the hood, it isn't *great* but to be fair, that's sorta the case with every Abbotsford player at 5v5 (they bad)
