I was uninsured for 10 years.

A few doctor visits a year cost me around $1k
I'd get my meds at rx but also from India...

Now I pay $3600 a year for insurance that doesn't seem to cover anything.

Health insurance has become a total scam. Especially after Trump sabotaged ACA in 2017.

A specialist visit, lab and x-ray?
$600+

Rheumatoid Arthritis meds would be $1000/month, with insurance.
