It might be, i know my xp-pen tablet is getting up there in age and the changed the entire like

Settings on it then what I used to have before i upgraded my computer

Or the reverse; i cant get anything but the thickest heaviest lines no matter how light i press

Will sensitivity make it to where I won't have to press so hard?

That's what I've really encountered that's hard to describe in words, but a lot of pencil esq or rough brushes I really like the looks of i end up having to practically put my entire weight on just to get dark lines or thick lines -
